SI has now implemented a policy whereby you must make at least one character change in a post before publishing a news item to multiple threads. Try to post the same thing twice and the following message appears in bolded red: "How many times are you going to post the same message???"

Articles like fab expansion plans are apropos to a number of threads. IMHO, SI should attack the individual spammers, not the entire community. This policy is quite moot in its effectivenes anyway(Yahoo is a case in point), since instead of CTRL+V, now it's CTRL+V+SPACE.

I guess that since this whole internet thing is such a dynamic new phoenomenon, rules such as this are merely Trial & Error to see what does and does not work in monitoring virtual communities.
