Hi BigBull,
Here is an interesting article on the weather that is more about winter heating costs. Note the last paragraph on the first page where Dr D notes that with a weak LaNina, we are likely to be subject to large outbreaks of arctic cold:

That is basically my view so far in my weather prognostications. This should not be a mild winter.

As to how cold and how much snow, so far only the hex signs know, ggg, but I'm getting there.

Another record to near record cold night in store for PA tonight.
