Making acquisitions in a sector means nothing about the ability to gain traction in a segment. Even if CNXT were WILDLY successful, anyone understanding the design cycle process would know that the benefits from those acquisitions can NOT pay dividends for at least two years.

Moreover, there are dozens of design reasons why leadership begets leadership, the only way competitors can gain ground on the top two or three communications semi companies is to deliver product that is vastly superior. That is unlikely to happen.

As for the market short term, no one's guess has any validity (it never does) I could just as easily argue that the run up has anticipated a neutral fed stance and we could see a wild sell off even with favorable fed action.

People guessing (or hoping) on short term market moves are speculating.
