Hey give AMD a bit more credit for clever marketing.

I think they are producing higher speed than 1.1 G right now in Dresden and saving them for a september launch inside the silent period before earnings (you can talk about product but not about business).

So creating market share at reduced prices is a good idea. Also the only one getting these intel 1 GHz parts is Dell and he is definitely not paying those artificial prices that are shown for people who cannot get the chips.
