I am beginning to think that there is more to this DDR versus RDRAM story than meets the eye. As long as the DRAM companies push the vaporware DDR and restrict production of the RDRAM they can keep the prices up on the RDRAM and DRAM with plausible deniability. The DRAM industry has had a few bad years and its is trying to make as much money as it can while capacity constraints still exist. Typically this is 18 months.

Pushing DDR makes absolutely no sense in terms of the utilization of the existing production capacity. It is beginning to look like a smoke screen for high DRAM prices.
Is it a DRAM industry pricing conspiracy?

Food for thought....
