I wouldn't be surprised if Athlon makes it to 2GHz in 0.10u.

I think the current Tbird has a limit of probably 1.3 GHz under the current process technology. It seems likely that Mustang will largely use the same process technology with some tweaks, plus a new layout with speed and space optimizations. I think this alone should be enough to move Mustang to 1.1 to 1.6 GHz range.

I would hope that the future shrinks to .15 would bring us almost to 2 GHz, .13 beyond 2 GHz. Just WAG.
