isopatch, I've been running like a dog. But I've been carrying Julander's presentation with me. I'll type it up tomorrow night or Wednesday when things finally slow down...Really sorry about the delay...

But here's a start. Dry gas reserves have declined in the lower 48 1997 to 1999. However, reserves in both Utah and Colorado have increased significantly while GOM and onshore New Mexico has declined. Oklahoma is up slightly, Texas down slightly too.

The Rockies percent of total U.S. reserves has risen from 10% in 1978 to 23% in 1998 (DOE/EIA).

Recent major discoveries inthe Rockies are: Cave Gulch 1 tcf+ in Wyoming; Powder River Coalbed 3 tcf+; Jonah and Pinedale 3 tcf+...In Colorado the Piceance about 0.5 tcf+ and Raton 1 tcf+ of projected reserves.

New E&P technologies are driving these discoveries- 3 and 4-d seismic, coiled tubing, MRI and FMI logs, and PDC and other improved drill bits...

Sincerely, Doug F.
