General Magic Joins Nuance Voice Web Application Service Provider Program; Companies Partner to Fuel Growing Momentum of the Voice Web

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 22, 2000--General Magic, Inc. (NASDAQ:GMGC), a leading voice applications service provider, and Nuance (NASDAQ:NUAN) today announced that General Magic has been selected as a member of Nuance's new Voice Web ASP Program. As a member of this program, General Magic will use Nuance software to assist enterprises and e-businesses in building and running voice-enabled applications that will be accessible to the more than 1.5 billion telephones users worldwide. General Magic expects its participation in this new program to create new business opportunities and continue to expand the voice applications and services market.
