I don't supposed you ever thought about looking in a dictionary. That might cause you to expend a little effort, and would become a controlling authority, legal or otherwise. The technical definition is, that a farmer is an operator, worker, and/or owner of a farm. You might try to squeak out of it by hiding behind the "owner" bit, but then there is the matter of accepted vernacular, which says you gotta work a farm to be a farmer. As you, yourself, have pointed out, corporations own farms, but they sure as hell are not farmers, and neither are you. The closest you come to a farm, is sucking the government's teat.
