All,
If you read the Watford/Pescod interview posted here you know that Michael Watford thinks that the southern anticline could prove more productive than the northern anticline area, Mesa and Stewart Point. However, to date there has been little drilling to the south. One well that does exist, Amoco 15-4, Range 29, Township 107, is producing an amazing volume. Here's its partial record:

<<Cumulative Production From Jun 1999 To Jun 2000 Oil 44,892 BBLS
Gas 3,366,321 MCF
Water 50,718 BBLS>>

That works out to about 9.2 MMcfd! Not too shabby! Ultra doesn't have any leases near this particular well but I'd bet that the company is studying its seismic maps very carefully to see if its properties are showing any similar characteristics. UP has plenty of work this year and next in the Jonah/Mesa areas so may not get to the southern leases for a while. But 15-4 is a good sign! And Amoco is beginning to drill other wells nearby. So much more will be known soon. McMurry is also in the same area. You can check out this well and any others in Wyoming here:
wogcc.state.wy.us API number for 15-4 is 3521739.
