Joe, Skaggs can be really good live - especially in small places where his fiddle tone stands out. He's quite versatile on a number of instruments. Enjoy.
I saw him over 20 years ago doing bluegrass with the Whites - Roland, Sharon, and her sister - before he did his mainstream country thing. He is or was married to Sharon White. He was funny too, not as restrained as he is on his Nashville TV shows.
I'll let you know if my ears are still ringing after I catch Indigenous. I normally stay away from the loudest stuff too, but always have to check out the latest slingers if I hear something that strikes me as a cut above. Their latest album Circle is toned down abit, and a cut from it has won a head to head call-in contest with other tunes on a radio station here five days running.
That GW Bush strikes me as a wolf in sheeps clothing. People say Gore is slippery, but something about bushy hits an alarm bell with me, and not just his policies. I definitely get the feeling the big boy contributors are in control of that show.
Anyway, I'm starting my vacation, off to a few days up in the mountains. See youse all later. |
