***OT *** Thanks for the memory buying links

you know, with Memory, you have to be VERY careful that you get the right stuff...especially for Voltage, access time and clock rate.

A friend just last night told me of 4 trips to Fry's electronics to keep taking back memory that didn't work in his PC... He claims that the parts were not what the box said!

The McGlen.com link is MUCH cheaper but does not list the specifications of the memory to compare to what Dell requires. I ALSO like the lifetime warranty at Dell for memory.

The Viking link.... That looks like good stuff and would have saved $20 but I already ordered from Dell.

Sometimes, I find it just helps to pay a bit more for peace of mind and to have it done right the first time.

Perhaps I am wasting $ but I think saving time and being all on the same 3 yr in house warranty is worth something.

THanks again!
