Let's strike while the iron is hot..
Let's see, who recognizes that they need us, for them to maximize their sales, and who will be helping us sell time on the NOC:
GM IBM Nuance
Ya know, these guys are OK, but I wish someone important would want tp partner with us.
IMO, this list is just starting.
What we could use now is a message from our leader outlining the path to the future, how it is likely to roll out--without promises--but his view of where the sector is going, and our part in it--the big picture of the complete solution.
Of all the people in the business of voice over internet, he is in the catbird seat with as much or more first hand information than anyone else. He must take advantage of that.NOW!
Then next week, there should be interviews of him arranged by PR that tell our story and why these leaders of the field are choosing us.
Marketing and PR should be working with several TV infotainment (eg, 20-20, etc) programs to tell the story of what is about to happen with computers, cars, and the web now that voice is coming soon. Speculate on how this will open up the web and its magic to everyone with a voice and a desire to get information. Become the spokesman to the public and to reporters on the voice interface, so people keep calling for interviews to establish credability for their own reports and thoughts on teh subject.
MAt the same time, major magazines should be approached using the power of GM and IBM to tell the story of the near future, and what it will mean to us all.
SM must become the "voice of the voice."
In short marketing and PR should be working 24-7 to pump every place it can. Momentum is fickle, we have it and need to push it.Be entreprenurial and can-do. Stretch the boundaries a bit. Team up with others in PR/Mktg at IBM and GM. How can our PR work with their PR to tell the story.
That is just the tip of the iceberg of what needs to be done--NOW.
This situation is a marketing dream come true. Please marketing and PR, rise to the occassion. Take it to the streets--voice will change the way we live..
Voice is the real power behind the internet that will make the net the true second industrial revolution. Being wired has just begun, its not peaking.
If people think that they have seen internet growth before voice, they will be surprised by what happens when voice arrives in maturity.
Regards to all longs,
