With thanks to Mr Langston. Message 14254333 Scott, Ruiz does not sound very convinced of the benefits of a AMD/Trans Meta partnership. So that I understand Transmeta and its product...it substitutes software for some of the functions normally performed by a chip? That's why power consumption is less. Is that correct? TIA. ted
