I had a new '70 Challenger, auto. with the 383. Had hood pins too. Fast enough car for me. Sold it after a couple of years and too many tickets. Engine, tranny fine. Workmanship - typical of the time I'd guess--- every time I took it to a car wash, I'd have water leaking inside from poor window sealing. And the car I traded it in for - a 4-speed Vega - now there's a marque that had quality problems -g-. Mine was okay though for the two years I had it.
