Thanks Razorback, this is the type of info I'm looking for. Obviously I have'nt read all of it yet(pretty lengthy for a laymen), but I believe I'll be able to understand it. I see some of my assumptions were correct (casing being perforated to allow flow),but had no idea they could lower a charge into the hole and blast perforations through casing and into the surrounding payzone, perforating it as well. Very interesting stuff.

PS: I know this is'nt the place, but whats your opinion on Harken, if you have one? ( this will probably cause a thread riot)
