Hi all; Tom says Intel officially considering DDR for P4:

Also in Jeff Austin's Desktop Products Overview session, we were told definitively that Intel is exploring DDR-SDRAM for the Pentium 4. Intel had already admitted in July that it is planning to develop an SDRAM-based chipset for the Pentium 4, but Monday's announcement represents its first concession that the company is also considering DDR-SDRAM for the chip. This is a huge turn around from Spring IDF when the Santa Clara based company had promised that the Pentium 4 would only run with RDRAM. This can only be more sobering news to the embattled Rambus.
