NPR should have asked active duty soldiers what they thought.

I suppose it's all in the question. Would you rather be commanded by a former member of the armed forces, or a draft dodger who pulled strings to get out of service, but then dropped out of the guard when they started testing for cocaine abuse? I can guess the answer.
