My point is, even if AMZN survives it will not command a high premium. AMZN will always have etail competition in some form or the other. I do not dispute that reliability, trustworthiness and customer service come before price, but that is not always the case. In fact addressing those issues alone can compress profit margins.
To be successful, IMO, it has to go way beyond pure etailing. It could do so by leveraging it's brand name by forming profitable alliances similiar to TOY.
