meVC Draper Fisher Jurvetson Fund I Notes Announcement by Pagoo

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2000--meVC Draper Fisher Jurvetson Fund I (NYSE:MVC) noted that Pagoo(TM), a leading provider of comprehensive IP-based voice solutions announced on August 22, 2000 an agreement with Tiscali, a leading Internet Service Provider and telecommunications company, to provide Tiscali with a turnkey Voice over IP solution, enabling Tiscali to deploy a wide range of Internet phone services under the Tiscali brand. By teaming with Pagoo, Tiscali is able to offer its more than two million customers the ability to make and receive calls over the Internet, as well as manage their communications with voicemail and call forwarding.

For Tiscali, Pagoo provides its high-quality open standards-based VoIP solution, which includes the delivery and management of the Pagoo Trident(TM) software architecture, client service applications, and full systems integration services. The Pagoo Trident architecture serves as the hub of Tiscali's VoIP network and manages all calling events, eliminating the need to invest in hardware at each POP in order to coordinate across the network. Pagoo also provides client service applications, including client software and customer facing Web site components, customized with the Tiscali Voispring brand, from which customers can use all the service features such as making and receiving calls, and also manage their account. In addition, Pagoo delivers full systems integration and professional technical support services.

Pagoo provides solutions tailored to match the needs of the customer, from the regional DSL reseller to the largest global carrier. Under an ASP model, Pagoo hosts the entire service from providing the VoIP network, to a customized end user application, billing and customer service. Pagoo also licenses its software to customers, in which case the customer typically hosts parts of the solution, such as the VoIP network, billing, support and other localized activities while Pagoo provides and manages the software architecture.

"It's our aim to assist Tiscali and our other clients in generating new revenue and cementing customer loyalty with high quality enhanced telephony services for their customers," said Michael Hughes, VP, International Operations of Pagoo. "From its experience operating a retail VoIP service, Pagoo understands the needs of its customers from the inside out -- from technology architecture to end customer applications and support."
