Mankind has been giving itself too much credit since the first day the species started to develop logical thought. Remember humans first thought the earth was the center of the universe. IMHO it will take a few more centuries for science to truly humble mankind. But I'm in the camp that it's a natural atmospheric cycle causing the problem and not mankind. Mankind IMO gives itself too much credit for power over the elements...
