Doug. Tend to agree with you about the whole global warming thing. Yes, we have it. But politicians can only sell their agenda of more government programs to regulate the private sector IF human activity is the primary cause. And like you am not at all convinced that's the case.

There is mounting evidence the Sun goes through very long cycles of increasing and decreasing energy output. IMO that combined with numerous large discharges of volcanic dust and debris into the upper atmosphere during the late 19th and 20th centuries can explain a large portion of the global warming phenomena.
