Barrett's comment makes me realize that he really lacks a clue as to what is going on. To some extent I would have thought that the horizontal approach that Barrett points to would have been more effective. The fact that it is not shows how DYSFUNCTIONAL the whole Wintel Dictatorship had become. They all acquiesced to MFST's arm twisting. MSFT is and was technologically blind, its keen vision is and was market manipulation. The GANG all made a lot of money, but followed the technologically blind MSFT to the edge of a cliff. SUNW succeeds because it has a real technological vision of the future of computing as well as good market execution. I'm amazed that it has succeeded so effectively in spite of all the odds. The Wintel GANG has reached the cliff, are they still going to follow MSFT over the edge? Barrett's comments says to me YES. All the best, Michael
