BTW, I like the following business description of "Cash 4 Titles," from the link above, for one of the assets that is now in receivership:
A car title loan company lends money to consumers at high interest rates (usually 25% per month) and in return takes an assignment of the title to the customer's vehicle (not a security interest). Because of the structure of the transaction, it is considered a "pawn" transaction instead of a loan and therefore is not subject to usury limits.
