Trident Reports From ONS 2000 and Gold Key Program Sign Up With U.S. Department of Commerce
STAVANGER, NORWAY, Aug 23, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- 21st Century Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets:TEXN) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Trident Technologies has reported news from the International Offshore Northern Seas 2000 (ONS) conference and exhibition in Stavanger, Norway (www.ons.no).
Doug Spring (president), Buren Palmer (chief technology officer) and Don Alford(sales consultant) arrived in Stavanger late Sunday and spent Monday setting up Trident's booth. Opening ceremonies kicked off the trade show on Tuesday with delegates from the Norwegian government and keynote speakers from the oil industry.
Representatives of Trident met Tuesday with the chief environmental and oil, gas and shipping officers of the Commercial Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce through the U.S. Embassy in Oslo.
During the meeting, Trident became a member of the Gold Key Service program offered by the U.S. Department of Commerce. This program will assist Trident in the areas of sales, marketing and trade regulation in the energy and environment sectors targeting the $10 billion North Seas oil industry.
Customized Market Analysis or CMA`s will be prepared for Trident for various markets including Norway, the United Kingdom, Germany and France. The report process should be completed in the next 60 days with the proprietary information and database organizing Trident's marketing strategy for Europe.
On Wednesday, Trident is scheduled to meet with various European classification societies to set up the protocol for certification of the Sea Patch and Pro Mag. Certification by the American Bureau of Shipping will accelerate this process.
In addition, Trident has been invited to attend a special workshop focusing on the Russian oil industry through the U.S. Embassy.
Thursday and Friday will consist of demonstrations and working the trade show floor.
