Have never monitored Bre-X,
thanks for the history lesson. This story will also appear in the history
books some day. Why didn't mining experts question how 268 drill holes
could produce 50 million ounces of gold?. Could 186,500 oz. be in each hole?
That is an incredible number, and some estimates were for up to 200 million.
Sure seems like someone went overboard salting the core samples. It's
easy to look back after the facts are out.
