Thanks for clearing up that mystery, Bill. When I bought SMTC (in March), that number had not been fed into the debt/equity figures available from the reporting services. If it had been, I am not sure I would have bought in; I am super-conservative where debt is concerned. (Not saying that is a good thing.) The reasons the company gave for issuing the debentures are pretty broad, and pretty general. What do you think they will do with the money? So far, they do not seem to have been doing much with it.
