I think you are very confused.

X remained consistent and logical in her analysis of the Elian situation. She never viewed returning Elian to his father as being abusive or damaging, and thus there is no hypocrisy in her statements regarding parental rights and Elian.

I think you are confusing your own views with hers. Had YOU uttered that statement about parental rights and then taken the stand you did on Elian, it would be hypocritical; for X, it was absolutely consistent.
