Adding wireless capability to Palm/Cellphone and integrating it to an existing application will be useful in areas like construction, utilities, etc - but I'm not sure if it would be enough to drive a stock price. Oh yes I think it will, when we have the wireless web and some kind of barcode reader on these wireless devices we can turn every retailer's inventory into a huge virtual warehouse. There is something like 1% of all inventory available in a b2b supply chain today. The rest of it is just too cumbersome to upload into these apps, but that is changing. I agree no software plays and better hardware for now but watching those verizon ads with the weather is like looking at an ms-dos pc running visicalc, hopefully we will see some new apps shortly.
