Having been gone a year, I could not comment about what they are doing. Adtran can certainly compete in the CPE arena with ADSL equipment. To compete as an OEM supplier would typically require low cost technology which enhances OEM platforms. That would be Aware, Amanti, ADI, Mot, etc. Some certainly see HDSL single loop as a competitive advantage for ADTN. Pair sure makes a lot of it, and ADTN certainly is pushing the technology envelope with its POET technology. However on ADSL, I see a systems vendor as dominating the telco arena. This implies a complex ATM system development, which Mark has consistently spoken out against. Ala the last shareholders meeting.
