Mr Will Felderhof reports
The company reports positive results on the East Salopa project in West Java, Indonesia. Four prospective gold targets have been identified in the Pondok Watu prospect. Target 1 is a 7m wide brecciated quartz vein outcrop from which chip channel sampling across the full width assayed an average 0.50 g/t gold. Within this 7m, a 2m interval assayed 1.12 g/t gold. The strike length of this vein is not known due to poor outcrop exposure, however quartz float mapping indicates a potential strike length of 700m. Target 2 is a brecciated quartz vein with an associated stockwork zone 175m north of target 1. A grab sample from the quartz breccia vein assayed 1.32 g/t gold and grab samples from the stockwork zone assayed up to 0.26 g/t gold. Target 2 is presently interpreted to be the faulted, eastern extension of Target 1.
Gridding, mapping and soil geochemistry programs have been completed on targets 1 and 2 and analytical results are pending. Targets 3 and 4 consist of areas of quartz veined and altered volcanics the full extent of which are yet to be delineated. Gridding, mapping, sampling and soil geochemistry programs are under way. Soil geochemistry, mapping and pitting at Pasir Ipis in the Melawong prospect area have defined an area of prospective silica alteration with stockwork quartz veining assaying up to 0.17 g/t gold over one metre coincident with anomalous antimony and lead soil geochemistry. The geochemical anomaly and alteration zone measure at least 200m by 200m and are overlain to the east by mudstone. The extent of the alteration/mineralization to the east under the mudstone can only be determined by drilling.
A second anomalous area is 150m to the west where elevated levels of gold, lead and zinc are found in conjunction with mineralized quartz float assaying up to 1.71 g/t gold. The bedrock encountered to date on East Salopa is characterized by a deep weathering profile and an associated high degree of leaching of metals near the surface. In addition, the soil depths are greater than anticipated with the majority of trenches not reaching bedrock. As a consequence, a diamond drilling program will be undertaken using a small, highly portable machine to further evaluate the targets to determine if deeper drilling is warranted. The diamond drilling program is scheduled to commence mid May 1997 and a total of 30 holes of 30m each are planned.
East Indies currently has a 90% interest in any proceeds to be derived from mineral exploration activities on the East Salopa property under an agreement with a private Indonesian company that holds the exploration KP for the property issued by the Indonesian government. All gold assays were provided by PT Geoservices (Ltd) of Jakarta, Indonesia which undertook sample preparation and fire assays under its procedure GG313 which uses a 50g sample and an atomic absorption finish. All high values are routinely checked to verify results. PT Geoservices (Ltd) has been providing services to the mining industry since 1971 and maintains a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9002. The East Salopa field program are under the supervision of geologists Mr Greg Smith and Mr Jim Richards, both of whom have extensive international experience in gold exploration.

IS THIS FELDERHOF ANY RELATION TO THE BRE-X FELDERHOF? If he is, I for one am not interested.
Good luck
