debt may end up crushing them, but they probably survive in one form or another.

I believe James Morris called this correctly a long time ago. The debt will crush Amazon in my opinion. The brand is well known and Kleiner Perkins will see to it that AOL buys the remaining pieces. The junk bond holders will not be paid.

Amazon will be forced to default on the interest by next summer baring another debt offering.
