Hi

I just noticed you made a plea about Qcom. I am long on the stock (which hurts because I'm down about 75k in my 401k account). But, the fundamentals are still the same as they have been for a long while.

George Gilder just sent out his most recent issue ... he devoted nearly the whole 8 page issue QCOM. He explains the fundamental reasons why the third generation buildout of CDMA200, 1x, etc are far superior to GSM and TDMA when it comes to handling fast data throughput over broadband wireless conections. He thinks wcdma, a variant flavor of cdma being backed by european wireless operators will never be successfully implemented because of inherent limitations and their inability to handle packet data rates above 56k. Meanwhile, cdma 3G is just around the corner and the speeds of 2.4mbps are likely to be bumped up significantly (he indicated announcements forthcoming in next few months).

Don't fret, you've got lots of company that believe we will be looking at mid-50's from the rear view mirror.
