Curious why they had to write of the goodwill in 4 years. That seems pretty short.

Also, anybody know if there are any phones on the market today with the MSM 3000 or MSM 3100 chip? I was beginning to think that the Samsung 3500 had the MSM 3000 chip in it because it sports the Voice Recognition feature (and the thinphone doesn't) but then I thought the talk time and standby time is not close to what is being advertised by the MSM3000. (The thinphone does use the MSM2300 right?)
I am wondering about this because for the issue of product transition to 2.5 G it would make a big difference if a lot of phones already in people's hands could use the higher data rates right away, such as 64 kb/s advertised in MSM3000.

Desciption of MSM3000 below:

Description of Samsung 3500:

I went through the Q's press releases and this is the closest match I could find between handset manufacturers and
the use of the MSM3000 chip but it seems to be mostly for Japan.
