Solectron purchased all of the manufacturing buildings/equipment in the Charlotte, NC IBM facility. They also 'received' all the, now former, IBMers who worked in those areas. They do any/all of the assembly done in Charlotte. I am sure this is occurring all over the country as well at various IBM locations. In addition, IBM just sold all of the buildings not related to manufacturing ie IBM Global Services and other IBM Services occupied buildings and IBM will be leasing the office space back from the new owners.
