Walt,

With the way things are going in the NWT only the big companies can afford all the studies consultations, impact agreements. Its ironic that under the new system none of the original discoveries would have been made.

I believe we have seen the end of an era. Its not just in the NWT where there has been a policy and regulatory shift that favors big government and big trans national corporations. Also, the increasing costs of going public and maintaining a public listing have impacted the junior resource companies. Except for the few juniors who have made the jump to junior producer with free cash flow, without an important discovery this winter or next year, I fear that will be the end for the remainder of the juniors in the NWT.

The juniors can't afford it.

Sad but true and the major companies and brokerage industry know it.

Ah well if I stumble across a pipe in my travels it would still be worth staking and no doubt other pipes will be found in time.

I think you have hit the nail on the head. IMO, there is still opportunity for low budget, focused, high risk grass roots exploration done by prospectors and private syndicates. The unfortunate part is that any discoveries would probably have to be dealt to a major.

I hope that eventually we will also learn just how rich Snap Lake is or was.

Production numbers may eventually show up in the segmented data section of a DeBeers annual report, or through publication of government statistics.

Hope to meet you all on other threads at some time or the other.

You bet. I will look you up the next time I get to YK if thats Okay.

take care all and good luck with your investments.

Thanks and the same to you and everyone else who has been here.

regards,
teevee
