The possibilities are as varied as ones imagination.

Ain't that a fact!

I have become fairly clear (and confident within myself) about what God isn't (and probably is), even though I haven't had time to create an argument out of it. But what bothers me is infinity. I hate not being able to grasp it. To some degree mathematics helps, in that it makes it clear that infinity is a natural concept and (almost) certainly the state of the Universe--but still...

It is not hard to see that we can always add one to any number forever: the number system is infinite. But if we represent conceptual numbers with actual objects, it changes somewhat. I can keep putting another atom into a pile of atoms...but what if I run out of atoms? Just because there are no theoretical impediments to infinity, does not mean there are no actual limits. But then if I run out of atoms...what exists next to the last atom in the pile?? It is for this reason I feel that one could run out of material...but you could not run out of space or time...unless: something has to be infinite in order to limit everything else...but what?? Could thought/sentience be a dimension??

Has anyone discovered a way to grasp the idea of infinity?
