Seems like we've ignored the SI thread on corriente in favour of bullboards:
Corriente mobilizes second drill to copper belt

Mon 21 Aug 2000 News Release
Mr. Kenneth Shannon reports
A second drill has been contracted to assist with the copper exploration
program currently under way in the Corriente copper belt, Ecuador. This new
drill will start testing high-grade copper targets at the north end of the
belt. The first holes are planned in the area of the Panantza property,
with drilling to start in mid-September. Targets near Panantza include
secondary copper zones such as the one intersected by two previous holes
drilled by Billiton in 1998. Secondary copper (mainly oxide) results for
the two holes are as follows:

Orientation From To Width Cu
(m) (m) (m) %
PA03
Vertical 0 27 27 1.3

PA09
Angle
-57 degrees
to 101 degrees 0 77 77 1.1

These two holes are over 200 metres apart and the mineralization is open
for expansion in several directions. Additional targets in the area include
numerous untested copper soil anomalies, which are associated with bedrock
alteration consistent with the occurrence of porphyry copper
mineralization. These targets include identified porphyry systems at
Panantza east and Trinidad.
Drilling on the Mirador project at the south end of the Corriente copper
belt will be completed in early September. A total of 42 holes will have
tested the Mirador system. Assay results will be made available following
the end of the program. The drill will then be moved a few kilometres south
to the Chancho project. The target at Chancho is interpreted as a fault
controlled diorite dyke, with approximate dimensions of 1,600 by 60 metres.
Numerous rock chip samples suggest the possibility of an average grade in
excess of 1 per cent copper. The copper is contained in primary sulphide
minerals, which have excellent potential to extend to significant depth. cheers, jerry
