Perhaps oracle might actually be able to sell their stuff if they actually used it internally.

Does anyone know of the Oracle sales force is still using Oasis?

Gee, they got HP to allow a press release for the stuff? That's a great follow up to the $30 million swap transaction ellison engineered last year so Oracle would devote resources to supporting HP's lagging server product line.

BTW, I'd be skeptical even if Chuckie Philips was pumping Oracle, he has had a historical obsession with size, forecasting that SAP, SEBL and Oracle would kill Clarify in CRM and keeping a sell rating on Clarify from $9 until he dropped coverage at $25 or so...fortunately before Clarify continued its trajectory straight up.

As many people know, I am 100% skeptical of almost all of the work of almost all of the analysts on the street. Not only are their motivations and compensation not driven towards being remotely accurate, but they rarely do any actual primary research, they mostly spit back what the managements of the companies they need to suck up to have to say.

The fact that analysts carry so much weight and can only devote 5% to 10% of their time towards primary research creates frequent and significant opportunities.

I have several analyst comments framed in my office.
