Time Clashes With Eternity......
>>The present moment is not timeless, it is evanescent. From a spiritual perspective, reviewing at least what is held in common among devotees of various religions, what is wanted is the transcendence of this world, and the glimpse of what is beyond, whether God or Brahm or Nirvana. If any moment is timeless, that one is, for one is glimpsing eternity.And it is only achieved if one engages in profound spiritual discipline, such as praying "without ceasing", or sitting za- zen and meditating on one's koan for years. The nearest thing to giving up all power and control is to become a mendicant, and live by begging. The saddhu in Hinduism, the earliest adherents of the Buddha, the early Franciscans, and the pilgrim of the Russian "The Way of the Pilgrim", all did this. The roamed around, living from day to day, talking of their faith and experiences with those they met, praying and/or meditating regularly. Now there is a real risk and GO!>>
Moments are timeless.
We can try to possess, control and define them, but we'll always fail for time is a relative dimension we experience which is separate from the present moment.
All that really exists is pure energy. And it's always there, even if we encounter it in an inert/frozen state - outside in the world inside our hearts/souls or the hearts/souls of others.
The universe is a massive singular, constant expression of one thing: LOVE. Timeless, limitless, always ON, always GO embracing and expressing risk in the pursuit of ONE thing: to express and share LOVE.
The lie we've all bought is that the answers, light, energy and love aren't really of this world. That God, energy, light and love is "out there" but somehow separated from us. That we somehow see glimpses and outlines and edges but that it's impossible to define, get, share and really feel what love is.
Eternity is the transcendence of time away from the horizontal/literal which does not "see" and believe into the this "letting go" risk of actions that are an expression of our faith in the vertical/spiritual timelessness which is nothing more nor less than the pure, constant expression of energy, light and love.
If we are really expressing and sharing this energy of light and love, we don't need to resort to a roam-around risk-like side show of poverty and begging. For the energy we have to risk and share freely with others becomes the force which transcends everything else: time, products, money, limits, definitions that are frozen in the fear or regret of "NO" but are supported somewhere/somehow/sometime by the risk of GO.
The transcendence of light, love and eternity can be found in this world. All we need is for more individuals to take more risk to transform more of the inert energy inside of our hearts and souls into these pure expressions of love. Every individual has the power to transform and transcend the NO of time and inert/frozen energy into the GO of timelessness which unlocks and expresses and shares this energy with others.
This meaning, power and energy is inside us. Separating ourselves from others in meditation is not the answer. Connecting with others in prayer which is backed by the risk and faith of our actions is the answer. Actions which are an expression of faith in the timeless energy of light and love become examples which sow seeds for others to "let GO", step out and risk to do the same in ways that transform the lives of others.
And there are so many examples of this sowing, risking, nurturing, empowering and growing which supports transforming energy and actions in our world around us.
Our world is really a wonderful, special, incredible place. And each of our lives can be special blessing to others. Having the opportunity to share these blessings of energy, life and love with others is what it's all about.
