Tito,
Your logic is on target about investor sentiment and that sentiment
may push the stock higher but the fundamentals still suggest some
moderation.
Since I posted to you last several things have occurred concerning
AMAT that were not factored into my $60-65 June/July price target.
AMAT settled with NVLS for an additional $80M cash plus future
royalties on the TEOS litigation which boosts the stock value in the
3rd qtr as well as the $182M TSMC order (which will overlap the
4th qtr '97/1st qtr '98 fiscal year).
Am I bullish on AMAT? you bet, I've been with the company for
15 years and have benefitted tremendously from its' growth by
investing in it. The best is yet to come!!! My prediction:

~$85 in Aug/Sept
~$65-70 in Oct/Nov
$110 in January 98,
Split in early March 98
