This is primarily in response to .........
techstocks.com

but also..........
RE <<<You are comparing NVLS, LRCX & AMAT. Compare their revenues, compare their employee sizes and compare their profitability and market capitalization, then you will concur with me that others are closure to mickey mouse.>>>>

Kumar, All of the above simply says that AMAT is a bigger company.
Yes, AMAT is, we all know that. That doesn't mean that they have the best equipment , nor does it mean that they have the fastest growth,
nor does it mean they have the best financial ratios, nor does it mean
they represent the best value in the sector at this time, nor does it mean many other things that should be of interest to an investor considering buying stock in any of the companies in this sector. Dont
get me wrong, I like AMAT and NVLS and others. I will hold AMAT long-term. I am not as familiar with LRCX , but Before I sleep tonight I could not without responding to your statements of ignorance
and obvoius bias towards this one company against all others.. Below are three quick facts about one company I will contrast to AMAT, one
which you chose to call Mickey Mouse.

1: The most recent quarter for both companies compared to the same quarter from last year.
AMAT sales down 20%, earnings down 46%.
NVLS sales down 12%, earnings down 41%.
(not too bad for Mickey!)

2: Ever heard of VLSI Research??
NVLS is ranked NUMBER ONE for customer satisfaction for semi-equip
suppliers with over 300$ million in sales (note, AMAT would be in this group) (Mickey is looking pretty good!)

3: Want to talk profit margins?? Last full year...96
AMAT operating margin 26%. Net margin 15%
NVLS operating margin 32%. Net margin 20%
(Gee, Mickey is on a roll!)

I'll save a few for another time, if I get fumed again.
Hope you can forgive me, I've never attacked so aggressively on these
threads before, but I never had this good a reason either.

Also, to Cary, thanks for your below post it also made me feel better after reading the ones from Kumar.
