Neo, what if the subject of enquiry is the existence of (a) God? Seems to me that starting off with either a belief in (a) God or a conviction of the non-existence of such would surely limit one's investigation, if not one's freedom. How can you genuinely investigate a question, the answer to which you have already pre-determined?

That is why (In my opinion) all the classic proofs for the existence of God are so labored, and ultimately so unsatisfactory.
