SW, **FTRL** in ASP industry expected to grow to $23 Bil by 2003

from July 19th PR:
"According to the Gartner Group, this industry is expected to grow from $900 million in 1998 to $23 billion by 2003."

FYI- I like this one longer term; future is bright for the industry sector. Of course, not without risk but with Microsoft as a $10 Mil investor and their Citrix sales success, they seem like a good bet, especially since they are so close to their 52 week low. Stock has been played with by the MM's too, but maybe in the next few weeks it will gain back some ground.

more from July 19th PR:
The industry for ASPs is about two years old, with participants such as Usinternetworking (NASDAQ:USIX), Breakaway Solutions (U:BWAY), Navisite (NASDAQ:NAVI), Qwest (NASDAQ:QWST), Brightstar Technology Group
(NASDAQ:BTSR),FutureLink Distribution Corp. (NASDAQ:FTRL) and privately held Applicast, AristaSoft and
ResourcePhoenix.com. According to the Gartner Group, this industry is expected to grow from $900 million in 1998 to $23 billion by 2003.

ASPs offer substantial value because companies can effectively rent applications that would otherwise require significant resources and a long time to install.

ASPs are extremely attractive to companies with rapidly changing IT needs that don't need highly customized solutions because the ASP allows them to implement
software quickly and access IT professionals. They can then focus on their core product and not waste resources training
and paying people to manage IT systems.
