John, <it looks all of patents that DEC is claiming Intel has infringed upon are algorithm or circut/block diagram related..> That's right, they are about major architectural elements of CPU. I agree, it will not be easy, but there are lawyers for this case to handle.
<By the way, since you work for a box maker, how many K6 machines has your company assembled so far? And how many sold? What clock speed?> According to SI "Terms of Use" and other restrictions, I do not think I can answer your question in full. I can tell you that the K6 systems are selling very well. Of course, we do not equip the systems with something fancy and expencive like 20x CDROM, 8MB video, 4GB drive etc. We build affordable home PC with very good price/performance ratio, and our customers like this approach. In automotive industry you call it "basic transportation".
<And off topic, it is awfully low of you following me into the Cisco thread and trying to disencourage someone from investing in Intel. Nice try, Ali.> It was my mistake, sorry about that. However, I did not notice you encouraging that investor to invest in Intel as well. BTW, are not all these links designed to follow?
<Why are you so much against Intel anyway?> This is personal.
