hi gottfried

cost is major major.

in order to respond to your question, i've got to sort of conjure up all the details from a few days ago when i was locked in tight with the opera experiment....

and i'm having trouble doing that right now, for some crazy reason. <g3>

i recall not liking the 'window management' scheme... the child window thing, and having to always perform a couple extra clicks to get another window.

i don't like that i can't see the current cache size like i can in netscape.

the speed (or lack thereof) was an issue, though not a great one. ie5.0 and netscape both appeared faster when i had all three running simultaneously.

the 'reload' button did not seem to function effectively as a refresh feature, but i didn't dink around with that too long.

my general feeling is that, based on the objections that i found without delving deep into the intricacies of the browser, more of the same would make itself known the further i went.

oh, and did i mention cost? <g3>

:)
