can anyone lend some insight to the alias/wavefront side of sgis business? im an engineer (chemical) but have always been interested in 3d graphics so followed a/ws products. i was impressed with their presentation the last time i attended siggraph (l.a., 2 years ago) but seem to remember that at the time sgi took some heat for buying a/w. what has been the general feeling now a couple of years later? what portion of overall revenue does the a/w division contribute? management recently said they look for future growth on the software side but what is this based on? also, just out of interest, does anyone on the thread use power animator heavily? whats the buzz on upcoming features? can anyone recommend where to get training to get up to speed? regards, kris
