"Why isn't Microsoft buying back it's stock like crazy right now?" My guess is that Microsoft IS buying back like crazy right now. That is a reasonable explanation for the stock's conspicuous stability over the past month, while most mutual funds are dumping MSFT stock like mad. "There isn't any reason why the stock should trade where it is now, with one of the best 2-3 year business growth ahead of us, driven by: - Strong new products - Strong net product" Interesting. My perception is more like: - No innovative new products - Useless, predatory .NET product Regardless of which of us might be right, I think there are other investors who share each of our views.
