<it appears that you are disputing his physics comments on the voltage swings and their effects on crosstalk. Are you?>

Yes, I am. If you show me any quantitative statement
from him with regard to the crosstalks:)

To start with, and basing on (our) lovely Maxwell
equations, the level of coupling depends
on the rate of change in electrical quantity,
and not on the absolute static level of signals
(aka "voltage swings").

Second, the voltage swing of Rambus is 0.8V,
and not 0.4 as he insinuates. 2x difference BTW.

Third, lower voltage swing is more prone to ground
bounce and other type of noise. Therefore there
is always a technical compromise. If you have never
done any real engineering but only studied
theoretically some atmospheric phenomena, you
have no clue about realities of the problem.
Even if you have recently discovered "inductive
coupling" for yourself.

After all these years of struggling with Rambus
"signal integrity" issues (3-rd RIMM recall, 4-8-16
chip RIMM incompatibilities) , it is highly
hypocritical to brag about Rambus signal quality.
