So much for my old theory of Q! being bigger than Microsoft, IBM and Intel combined. With Microsoft's Stinger, they have picked up where Q! gave up.

While Q! had the software, ASIC and box [handset division], not to mention the infrastructure division, the MSFT/Intel/IBM comparison was valid. Now the WWeb seems to have got too big and fast and crazily huge, with Mastodons stampeding in the space and little room for Q! to take over all spheres.

So the infrastructure division went. Then the handset division [the box]. Now the ASIC division is going. Not to worry, the remainder is still pretty good. Especially since Globalstar leaves the infrastructure/ASIC/Software/Box connection intact and in a very powerful monopoly position. When everyone on planet earth has a Globalstar connection, Q! will look quite impressive. Especially if Q! was to takeover the whole company at these low prices which would give them a vast monopolistic integrated business from infrastructure to service provision, with NetZero, SnapTrack, Eudora and other stuff.

Meanwhile, Microsoft seems to be holding to their new vision statement, "Major Paradigm Shift Happens" and they are off and running in The New Paradigm.

PS: It's funny how Viginia Cartwright had feelings of inadequacy. That opossum didn't look too uncertain about life! Being immune to rattlesnake venom must give a smug feeling. As you said, "Now THAT's a possum!"
